Zachary Robert Lehto, 20, longtime Palmer resident, entered eternal life on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.
Zach was born February 8, 1996 in Ishpeming to Richard E. and Caroline G. (Smith) Lehto, attended Negaunee schools and was a lifelong area resident.
In his spare time he loved movies, music, drawing and art. He loved attending the Vista Theatre in Negaunee every year for their rendition of Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Surviving are his father, Richard E. Lehto of Marquette; 2 brothers, Matthew and Thomas Lehto; maternal grandmother, Ann Smith; 3 uncles: William, Alfred and Carl Lehto; 3 aunts: June Prusi, Carol (Rory) Rankinen and Theresa Smith; special cousins who cared for him, Kasey (Duane) Saari and Lori Pertula; special friends, Amanda and Constantine Cross; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Caroline G. (Smith) Lehto on May 20, 2009; paternal grandparents, William and Helen Lehto; and maternal grandfather, James Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22nd at the Koskey Funeral Home in Negaunee. The family will also greet relatives and friends at a luncheon at the Negaunee Elks Lodge immediately following services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be directed in Zach’s memory to the Lehto family, C/O Koskey Funeral Home, 106 W. Main St., Negaunee, MI 49866.
